Xavier Huart was an influential figure in the early days of competitive windsurfing, particularly in the European scene.

While not as widely recognised as some of the sport’s most dominant champions, he played a role in the growth of windsurfing as both a competitive and recreational sport. Huart was known for his versatility across different windsurfing disciplines and contributed to the promotion of windsurfing in France during its rise in popularity in the 1980s and 1990s.
