National Watersports Festival – This Weekend. Don’t Miss It

‘20°C, some sun and a breeze…’  It looks like the perfect weather for THE BIG WEEKEND – The National Watersports Festival (NWF) which is taking place at Rutland Water this weekend! (8-10th June 2018).

Online entry is now closed but YOU CAN STILL GO!

Tickets can be purchased at the Festival which will enable you to either enter any or all of the events – or simply rock up and enjoy the Festival vibe and entertainment.

The NWF promises its usual legendary combination of amateur and pro competition in windsurfing and SUP (Stand Up Paddleboarding) as well as free try out and coaching sessions in both of these sports. Festival goers also have the opportunity to try SCUBA, Dinghy Sailing and Kayaking. These trial sessions are open to all comers; slots can be reserved on the NWF website.

The top watersports brands will be there for the largest Trade Show in the UK. Talk to the pros and Team Riders and drool over, or demo the hot-off-the-press new toys! This year for the first time, Rutland Festival will run alongside the NWF, adding even more interesting stalls to showcase and celebrate the best of the best in food and drink from Britain’s smallest county.

Two AMAZING VIP parties complete the Festival line up. High-octane live acts, The Top Banana Band and Dirty Rumour, are ready to electrify the audience in the fabulous marquee by the lakeside. ‘Daggerboard’ and ‘Rocker Ale’ (see what they did there?!) are the TWO limited edition beers brewed especially for the event by NWF sponsor, the award-winning Grainstore Brewery. Get nostalgic for the Nineties and ‘Come As You Are’ – 1990s fancy dress is optional at Saturday’s party!

So whether young, old, a seasoned rider or a novice, there is something for everyone at the BIGGEST EVENT ON THE WATERSPORTS CALENDAR.

The National Watersports Festival 2018 will take place at Rutland Water, Sykes Lane, Empingham, Oakham, LE15 8PX between 8-12th June 2018.
