Over the past few weeks we’ve been putting the Tahe Techno Wind Foil 6.3m windfoil specific sail through its paces. We’ve tested it in every kind of condition from super light wind (less than 10 knots) to more solid blows (up to 25 knots).
To shed more light on the Tahe Techno Wind Foil 6.3m sail we also drafted in young gun Tom Pringuer to aid the review process. As such we thought it worth getting this young ripper’s insight to the sail. So over to Tom for the lowdown.
The techno wind foil 6.3m sail is easy to rig. It rigs on a techno mast and the twin cams are easy to slip on. Most importantly it sails well. The sail is super stable and not at all twitchy.
It works extremely well with the Techno Wind Foil 130L board and foil. I also tried it with other foils and boards to see how it faired here. All good is what I’d say. The 6.3m is applicable for various windfoil board, not just those from Tahe.
Through moves, the sail’s a joy. It is comfortable to foil gybe – I find I foil out of a lot more gybes now. There’s plenty of positive, forwards pull (even in light winds) which makes it great to nail those low wind turns.
Overall, I think it is nice to sail and designed well. It’s great for youth foilers, like me, but also seems to work well for adults as well. I really like it. It’s a shame I had to give it back!
So there you are. A glowing report from Tom and one that should encourage all types of foil rider to check it out.
